Get Into The Music
Manchester is the birthplace of some of the most revolutionary music to ever come out of England so whether you’re a fan of The Stone Roses, Oasis or Joy Division you’ll ï¬nd your favourite bands influenced many places around the city.
Take a trip to Academy or Band on the Wall to see some new acts or take one of the musical tours they regularly go around the city.
Have A Laugh
The North is known for having a sense of humour so while you’re here take in the talents of some local comedians.
There are plenty of comedy clubs throughout the city including The Comedy Store, Frog and Bucket and The Ape & Apple for your entertainment; you’ll learn some new jokes and probably make a few new friends as well.
Be A Culture Vulture
Manchester has some of the best art institutions around whether you’re interested in modern art, the classics or something a bit more experimental there is deï¬nitely a place for you.
Take a trip to the historic John Ryland Library and sample some fantastic gothic architecture or take a trip to the Whitworth there’s always an art exhibition on too keep you entertained. If you’re more into literature, then visit the Portico Library.
